shocks and rear sway bar

I am the current owner of a 2000 F150 supercab. I also have an '03 Lightning. I use the S-cab truck to pull the Lightning to/from the track on occasion but I get a lot of body roll and sway, and I know for a fact that the shocks are beyond worn out. Do you all think it would be a good idea to swap a Lightning rear sway bar onto the 2000 truck? I wonder if it is a bolt-on? Also, what is a good option for shocks? This truck pulls heavy loads from time to time and I would like for it to be as safe as possible until I'm able to upgrade to a F250 or F350.
