As per your suggestion to Skennett, I contacted peoplefirst.com today and borrowed 15K at 6.9% APR over 36 months.
They were super-easy and quick to deal with.
The money is supposed to be here tomorrow, so only a few more days until I can pick up my 2001.

It's nice 'cause you get a blank check good up to the amount you applied for.
I got a LoJack at the last minute and rolled it into the loan.
