I only have 800 miles on my L but when I "mash" the long skinny pedal I notice the tranny shifting from 1-2 at 4700-4800 rpm. This is from a rolling start. Is this normal or do I just need to wait for my chip to show up. and install my shift-kit.

BTW, it almost feel like I lose boost before it shifts. Am I be screwed by a solenoid/wastegate? Any other '01 owners noticed this?

 

My 99 shifted at, or close to, red line for all shifts. I have not had my 01 at WOT yet.

The power loss during shifts are caused by the keputer cutting spark to 4 cylinders. Ford's version of traction control.
