Off Topic - VW Jetta
I've been looking through here for several months, and can't wait 'till I can arrange the purchase of a L. I'm currently getting married and buying a house instead. Hopefully within a few months the banks will be helpful in the L purchase.
My future wife is interested in the Jettas, just barely edging out the explorer sport or escape. I want to find out what info i can about Jettas. Ideally a simular(sp) board about supping up and modifing it. Anybody know where info like this is? Any help would be mostly appreciated.

Hey Mocklab, my wife recently bought a 1.8T NB GLX and I recently hosted a chipping GTG (Get Together) in Houston for UPsolute. After chipping the 1.8T, all I can say is get the Jetta.
I assume you're considering the 1.8T and not the V6 because the turbo has a lot of untapped potential that easily can surpass the bigger engine's initial advantage. In fact, 1.8T's respond to chips and filters (drop ins) kind of like Lightnings do. Stock horsepower is 150 and, with the chip, filter, and exhaust combination, some owners are seeing a little over 200 horsepower and quartermile times in the mid 14's. For more gains, other areas to consider upgrading include the upper and lower intercooler pipes, the downpipe and cat, and the turbo inlet pipe.
Hope this helps,
Dave
2001 Lightning (delivered 3/21), lots of goodies to follow.
2001 1.8T NB GLX with Sports Package, 17" wheels/Michelin Pilots, UPsolute chip, Forge Diverter Valve, Forced Performance lower IC pipe, Techtronics catback exhaust, PiperCross filter, Mobil 1, Water Wetter, euro badges, Cord spoiler, 3D dash kit, billet bud vase, NB mats, NB license plate frames, NuBug Cafe Sunspots, Panasonic 8 disc CD changer.

Thanks,
Nice site. That Neuspeed supercharger is awesome. Check out the HP chart below (if i get it right)
I do believe that says supercharged 109HP. Scary, it might give the L a run for the money... NOT!!!
But here's what will
Does that say 1001 HP!!!!
