Got mine at AUTO ZONE. It's a Mr.Gasket 3 inch tall filter with chrome top, only without a logo. Cost was under 12 bucks

Question

I don't know, but on SVTPerformance, JDM was saying that you would need to have a chip reprogrammed to account for the extra air the engine can pull in to prevent a lean condition.

I heard the same as thepawn. I ordered the JDM chip w/calibrations for the breather. Jim discusses the issue on the svtperformance aftermarket board.

Question

"WOW," That's a new one. The crankcase ventilation has no sensor!! What can you flash on a chip to compensate for ventalation? All you have is the PCV valve.
"Be careful people" Do you think if there was any performance to be gained, Ford would be using it in production on all the vehicles. Can someone explaine this to me, the same way it was explained to them?

Its not for performance, its to try to prevent the oil going into the boot.

There is something about it not being a close system, nothing to do with sensors in the crankcase but volume of air the PCV accounts for in general...the big post about it is on the SVTperformance mesage board.

Installing the filter allowed more air to be pulled back into the engine during a WOT cutoff causing a possible LEAN condition or something of the sort.
