Talking Pro-Sport Cover on Black

Everyone,

I just got the Pro-Sport installed tonight. Here are some pics, truck isn't the cleanest...sorry....

Pass Side:

Driver Side:

A Picture of my rear.....

And just how far does the wing hang off the back:

All in all, I'd give it about an 8.5 overall.
Good stuff:
The sale was quick and painless.
The cover was delivered via freight, in a 8'x8' wooden crate, wrapped in bubble wrap and some styrofoam protective cover.
The paint match looks good, with no scratches or blemishes.
The fit is right on...
It comes with touch up paint.

Bad Stuff
The LED light is glued in by a 1 year old. There is silicone on the front of the LED and protruding from some of the cracks around the light. I just think they could have done alot better and maybe used screws or something else.
Its a pain in the a$$ to get it on right.

Thanks to Clonetek for confirming some things for me. It was just that the female brackets were a little off. Those shock support brackets were dead on 50".

I'd do it again!!! I think the cover kicks a$$. Even my mom likes it

Brien,
Hey looks great! Damn thing is heavy isn't
it? I've had mine on for over a year now as I had the first one this side of the Missisippi and was looking good at the WFC
last year! Watch out for the ends of the lift
rods, they will break if hit to hard and down
comes the lid on top of you! Happened to me and I could not get out from under the lid without help from somebody lifting up the lid? Felt stupid Too!! But now you have to lower your truck to complete the stance it projects. This lid makes the truck doesn't it. Expensive right? I got a deal at $916.

Thumbs up

Looks sweet! I have a Pro-Sport on order, it should be here in the next 2 weeks. I'm glad to hear it arrived safely. Did you use the bolt on or clamp on?

Guys...

Thanks for the comments...

Whitestx: 899.00 + freight delivery

Robert: Seeing your truck at F150 online meet last summer was my real driving force. Clonteks pictures were the selling point.

Clonetek: No...No broken screws. I almost broke a couple fingers while fitting it on top. The install was a pain, but lets just say that I had the wrong people on Monday night helping.

Galaxy: Its the bolt on. I wasn't really interested in the clamp on. Although over at nloc.org there is talk of the clamp on being grande ca-ca.

Like I said, everyone loves it and it really makes the truck stand out more.

What size dog uses that bone you have on the wall next to the jackstands? (dumb joke). I've been looking at the cover for my Black '01 and I'm about sold. Are those logos on the side of the cover towards the cab?

Looks great.

BlackBolt99: I will take a closeup of the LED and post it up for you. It just looks like they rushed right through it. Its just my opinion.

NeedForSpeed: Yup...Big Bone.....No dog though..... Anyway, those are the logos on the sides, its just a decal. I might remove it...haven't decided yet. I will post a close up a bit later.

Order now......

OK Brian,

You are starting to go overboard now j/k

Looks great Brian, might consider doing that now. Getting tired of the factory Ford cover

Thanks alot for the pictures. I have just made up my mind, and will be calling in my order for one today. Hopefully the LED build quality is an isolated problem. It really does look awesome, and it's different from all the other bed covers i've seen. I already got a price of $899 + $25 for the install. Since it involves drilling, I'll let a pro do it.
