Post Weather station and/or GPS users!

I'm in the market for a portable weather station to take to the dragstrip with me. I'm also looking for a handheld GPS. Some combination of the two would be really moochie but I don't think anyone has this yet? Anyway, those of you with weatherstations/GPS, where did you get them? What did you pay? Would you do it again? Benefits disadvantages etc etc. Any help appreciated. Thanks!

Check summit racing and West Marine. Summit has the weather stations and West Marine will have both.

I just got a weather station from Biondo Racing products. They were the cheapest I found for the "Performaire Weather Station" it cost about $400, but I think they are now running a special. It will take some time to get enough runs into it before it is accurate. I don't know why you would need a GPS, the weather station will calculate the corrected altitude for the given weather conditions.

Here is the web site for Biondo

GPS will tell me how fast I'm going. It's a speedo calibration at top speed thing Thanks for the link!

I've got one of the Oregon Scientific weather stations. Paid $165 on E. bay. It works well at home, but it's not really intended for portable use.

Also have a Magellan GPS 315. Got it on sale at Kmart for $129 a couple of years back. Don't know how high it will read, but it doesn't stop measuring speed at 90 MPH. Never thought about taking it to the track.

Oregon Scientific make some nice weather stations: temp, baro, humidity, etc and they are cheap.

Also many (most?) GPS's turn off at 90mph... I heard that this is because it is illegal to use them in an airplane (so vendors turn them off at high speeds).
