Night Radar
Does anyone know if it is legal in California
for a cop to sit in the dark along side a
rural highway (not freeway) with his lights off, and radar on? BTW 79 in a 55 zone! I know I deserved the ticket, I'm hoping for maybe a loophole or something...

I've heard from various people that it is illegal, but it's not. Sorry to hear about the ticket. Start thinking of some b.s. stories to reduce fines, or look at the ticket and pray that he/she screwed up on it.
