Supercharger Screw Lobes are nicked
I took mine in for the intercooler leak after 17000 miles. The dealership gave me that dumbfounded look like I was the only one with a Lightning that had this problem. I then told them to call the SVT hotline and everything was staightened out, I'm due a new intercoolerr any day now, I also will be getting a new supercharger the screw lobes inside the supercharger are nicked up, I don't know how but I will never put a smaller pully on this Bolt. That was the first thing the dealership looked for, the Supercharger is rated at 14000 rpm's and anything above that can cause a wobble condition causing the lobes to hit with each other or the outside wall. If stock the Lightning is around 12750 rpm so we don't have much room to play. Eric you might want to check out the supercharger screw lobes carefully.

Thanks Terry for the heads up. Sorry it took so long to reply, but it was a busy weekend. I did talk to Albert and he gave me the heads up as well. I go in tomorrow (Monday) morning to get the intercooler replaced and I will have them check the supercharger for nicks as well. Reynolds seemed to have no dispute or questions about my claims. Told them it had leaked. They called the hotline and Wayne there confirmed it. So we shall see what tomorrow brings. Thanks and good luck with your repairs.

asdeman,
Did you see the inside casing where the rotors hit? Tell them you would like to look at it? The reason is i was over at the SVT building and they had a cut-away display on the M-112 S/C.
There is not much clearace between the rotors or casing. The rotors are coated with an epoxy and sometimes it chips off looking like it hit the casing.
If eaton puts to much on them then there is an interference in the rotors and it will chip the high spots!!
See if they will let you look and verify! Then post back.
That may ease some people that have bought or planned on buying a pully!

Well, I went in today and had to first talk to another service writer cause Sami was busy. Yeah well, this ended up being very very scary. I told the man I was there to have my intercooler replaced and they had my appointment down and the parts where there. He looked at me very confused and simply said "Intercooler, what's that?". Yes, well needless to say, after explaining it to him his light still didn't burn and so he wrote it down and asked what else. I went ahead and made an attempt to explain a possible nicking in the lobes on the supercharger and asked if they could check it out as well; since they would have it off and all. Again, nothing but a dumbfounded look.
The whole time Sami was busy, so the second I walked in the door to my home, I was back on the phone with her and told her I was very dissatisfied with the man that morning and explained everything about the screw lobes to her. She is now taking care of it all for me, hopefully.
Stay tuned.....lol

Eric,
I didn't ask about the supercharger, the service writer and mechanic told me about it as soon as I arrived there to pick up the loaner car. I was told they are going to changeout all the items listed:
Intercooler, supercharger, plugs and 02 sensors. It is standard policy to changeout the plugs and O2 sensors after a leaky intercooler. The parts should be in by Wed and back on the road by Friday hopefully. I will keep you informed of any events.
Good luck with the Bolt,
Terry
