Cool VA Motorsports..New Best....

All right!!!!!

I am a happy dude now!! Last seasons best with R9 & PSP Intake: 13.422 @ 100.98

Todays opener with JL chip(street), PSP intake and JL Ram air: 13.28 @ 102.31

My goal is to hit the 12's...consistently in street trim

It was good to see everyone, Chris, Greg & Dana, 4D Thunder......

The track was packed...And then to make matters worse, the entire power grid went out for like 2 hours.......

I got 2 runs in from open till 4pm...

Oh well, I'll do some more up at the JDM event.

I'll let others post their times too...

I will have some videos as soon as I convert them. Anyone got some extra bandwidth I can put them on????

Later

Cool

Good runs Brian. Too bad we had that 20MPH headwind, it would have been better. I got a whole 3 runs in. First one so-so, didn't realize the track was hooking so well. Then I run 2 back-to-back(yeah, 2 hrs apart) 13.19's that would have been 12's without that damn wind.

PS, time to update your sig.

Glad to hear that you all had improved times and a fun time, even though you didn't hit the magical 12's. I am losing faith in that track!!! Seems everytime we go we end up waiting around for hours and only get 2-3 runs in. I don't want to go to the track until I get the pulley in. That goes for JDM's event as well. Just don't want to drive 5 hours just to get beat by guys who have the pulley in. Hopefully, they will send it Monday or Tuesday.

JAG,
I think people have lost what the SVT/JDM day was meant to be. It was meant to be a "fun day" for all of us to finally meet and just hang out together. No reason to be discouraged and not show up.

Everyone should consider this a free Test & Tune day...not a competiton.
I still plan on going even though my tranny is starting to slip slightly, but thats my fault, I never had a chance to do a rebuild before I quit JDM...BUT I AM STILL GOING.

C'mon, dont you want to meet some of the fellow L owners? I do

Ya, good point Spiro. I guess I am just a little anxious about other things that are not coming together like I wanted them to. Not to mention I am kinda on "restriction" from going to the track since I am responsible for taking care of the kids while the boss is away in Europe. Didn't mean to sound down. I think a day at the track with you guys is just what I need. If nothing else, maybe I can pick up the pulley then and just put it on at the track in between runs.
Thanks, sometimes I need someone to slap some sense into me!!!

I've been looking forward to the Englishtown enent for some time now. I was looking forward to it before I even bought my L. I've only had my L since the end of December 2000, and i'm planning to get some baseline numbers on the 23rd before I get into doing mods (bone stock right now). As a matter of fact, I've never even raced at a track before, so this will be an entirely new experience for me! Man, I can't wait to see so many L's hanging out together! It's going to be incredible!!!

That was a good time until the power went out. Matched my best of a 13.25, but those were consistant. Made 3 runs, slowest was a 13.26. That is just with JL chip and POS downs ford intake. Wish the ram air and filter would have made it. I still don't think that I will make 12's with ram air and the filter, but you never know. I was great seeing everyone up there, but like everyone else I was dissapointed with the amount of time it took to run. Never have seen it that bad up there

You're going to have to drag these guys down to Kinston and let them run some hot laps. None of the 2-3 runs per afternoon crap. We would love to have all of you come down and take back some new best times.

I think I found my problem... its called... AAMCO... them and their cheap *** converters... (my launching problem occured before the latest mods also)

I think I have it pinpointed to the Converter... its a 144k factor which is ~2000 stall speed, took her to the dealership to show a few buddys up there, they stalled it to 2700... and the tires didnt break loose.... I think that AAMCO put a f'd up converter in it... when one of the guys was takin it for a test spin on the road with me, he noticed the shifts were soft for as firm as I had the shift kit, along with the pedal being really mushy... merging on the interstate, RPM's were holding 3200RPM's from 2nd to 3rd to OD (dropped to ~2000 when hit OD)

I ordered a Mopar 166 K factor converter (~2300 stall) for $150 shipped to my house
I told yall, 12's or bust heheheh
