Question Question on 2001 factory air cleaner housing

Does anyone know this for sure? When Ford changed the airbox on the 2001, did they enlarge the entire box and change dimensions, air filter size, etc, or did they simply enlarge the inlet and outlet holes for the larger rubber boots?

Cool

They enlarged the fender wall opening and the boot. Turn the box over and cut out a couple section to increase air flow. you will be happy.

I actually looked at the 01 airbox and inlet boot and it looked the same as my 99. It's suppose to be larger though...
