Make sure the intercooler recall was done.

The usual when it comes to performance vehicles, rubber in the wheel wells, try to get a carfax and oasis report.

Would be nice to know if it has had any blown spark plugs and what fix was done and by who if possible. Check for mods, bigger pullies, is it a built motor? Be ready to do some repairs and more, its got some miles and years on it so you never know, if it is a good one and needs nothing and runs strong be ready to start modding and get in and go enjoy because even with some miles and age these trucks rock!

That price is very low from a car lot. Look carefully before comitting.

i have the vin number could i call up the ford dealership and they would be able to pull it up and see if the intercooler had been replaced? and i went to car fax and it said that this vehicle has 23 records. now i know a record could be an accedent but it could be just an oil change too. so thats got me wonderin. thanks for the info. more info is still defenatly welcome

it started out as 13000 but it sat there for a lil while. i know 13000 is kbb. and now its down to wholesale.."trade-in" not too many people around here have lightnings its either fancy cars or jacked up trucks. i think me and the bank and carfax are gonna have a heart to heart and read all 23 pages on this thing

1. pay to have a PPI done
2. consider an aftermarket extended warranty if you're not handy with tools

First off, thanks for serving our Country. Your one of my Hero's. 2nd, 106K is a lot of miles, be careful. These trucks are not usually just driven to church on Sunday's. I know 10,000 sounds cheap, but...........................1 example, tires will cost you right at $1000 for good ones.

sorry, did not get to reply sooner. PPI = PrePurchase Inspection. I have read that you already got your L and just finished doing a plug change..not sure if that would have been "caught" during the PPI.
