Question 1st Gen L????

http://albums.photopoint.com/j/View?...958&p=43888129

Saw this pickup at a dealer in Rochester, MN this morning and wonder what it is. Have seen references to 1st Gen Lightnings here, but never seen one. This thing had Lightning II lettered in script on the lower front wheel well.

Or is this someone being "creative?"

I thought the steer's horns on the hood were a nice touch.

This is what a first gen Lightning looks like. I sold this in order to get my 00 Silver L.

Minnesota plates and snow in Mexico?! That truck is a f'd up example of what someone with bad taste and a JC Whitney catalog can do to a nice, normal F150.

That looks exactly like my 95 Gen 1 .I'm debating keeping her when I pick-up(no pun intended) my 01.Its hard to part with a truck (or any vehicle) when it drives excellent, looks awesome and is paid for! Why do we do what we do? I know one thing if I sell her.....I'll miss her terribly!

oh man, someone beat that truck with an ugly stick! I don't think that's an L, just painted up front to look like it. Lightning's didn't have chrome capped mirrors.... but looking at the nasty crap on that poor thing, it is possible those were swapped out! Ish...

Wow!That is fugly! I was talking about the white L , not that monstousity red thing. Your right about it not being a Gen 1 though.Even the seats look like they have removable head rests.Must be a friend of Bulldogs.
