No I don't have a L. I know someone that does. I am just wounding what happens when the cooler leaks. These are water/air coolers, right? So the air side is from the blower and the water is the coolant. If it leaks then the water is mixing with the air and going into the engine. If the leak is big enough, wouldn't that seize the engine? OR am i missing something here?

You got that right, pal. Except we are not talking water here, we are talking ethelyne glycol and all sorts of other nasty chemicals that are not supposed to see the inside of a motor. There have been plenty of Lightning motors replaced under warrantee due to leaking i/c's, even though Ford insists it is a problem in a very small percentage of trucks. Yeah, right.

Hey I'm on my THIRD ONE, you would think FORD would straighten this out by now....

But when it leaks, no reason why you cant run water in the tank for a "water injection" effect
