I have had my L for less than a week and put on just over 500 miles. The seat is discoloring on the left side of the drivers seat. Is this normal? It looks black or at least real dark.

It's suede and might be getting greasy from your jeans. I'm sure there are cleaning agents out there. Care to post a pic? Of the seat, not your jeans although it might explain a few things. :-)

 

I had the same problem on my '00L (it's a common problem). If you wear jeans, the dye tends to rub off on the imitation suede. Just use an uphostery cleaner and it will come off. I alway lay a towel on the seat and this keeps it clean. You can also apply Scotchgard, to reduce the fading problem.

RTFM. It clearly states in the owner's manual that you must not pass gas while driving.

 

I went to the local shoe repair shop and got
some suede & nubuck stain/water repellent.
Sprayed it on lightly at night left the window cracked,the smell was gone the next mourning.Did this two nights in a row.As far
as skid marks go,i always have my Depends on.

Im not sure how well suede products will work since the material is actually cloth...

 

Scotch Guard the **** out of them, there cloth, with black leather inserts.

blue blood, It is warm down there to drive naked. Now when I go down to Melbourne, Fl. I drive around in my lightning naked.

Could the discoloration be the seat wearing from the bar underneath the padding, or has Ford fixed that for the 01s?

Maybe I should have gotten the velour seat covers and not the dam velour floor mats if I have to drive it naked to spare the seat.
I guess I will also start wiping my A$$ better too now, maybe a bidet is in order as well
