Do a search on headers. You'll find that no ones making any more power w/headers. Some have made claims as to making more power w/long tube headers, but no one that has installed them is making any claims w/short tubes.

Wink

I have the JBA Headers on mine and they are a nice looking header but there was no gain to be found at the track!

I've got Bassani Headers on mine, and not really a lot of gain in HP. But as already stated they look good and changes the sound (tone) of the exhaust, which is my reason for putting them on. I like the sound (tone).

I'm running JBA on my 00. Makes the truck sound good. There might be a small performance improvement in there somewhere but you will need a sensitive seat-o-the-pants meter to detect it. If you do them do it for the sound just don't expect to see much on the HP side. JMHO.

Cool

That may be what he is referring to, because the short tube JBAs like I have on my truck don't cost anywhere near $900. The headers look nice, but the supplied hardware is pretty low quality.

the old header ? again. steve at Custom Fabricated Headers (313-537-4456) makes an awesome set of long tube headers. and for a $100 more than those JBA's you get a fire cone and marmon clamps. here are a couple pics of mine that i had ceramic coated after i received them.

and these are the quality shots of his craftmanship

the collector

the marmon clamps, these are pretty much a no leak system.

no, my headers are going in a 92 f-150 and i haven't put the motor in yet. BaBolt did the R&D work to get these produced and he has them on his truck, i think he did away with the cats. sorry i couldn't help on that.
