Where is the best place to purchase one of these units? Are there different models? Also do they just plug into the lighter slot and work from there?

you should be able to purchase one at any speed shop, or mail-order. the price is set, so the price will be the same, almost everywhere. all you have to do is plug it into your cig lighter, or power point. the key is to be on level ground, get it set perfectly level, and parallel with your truck!

I would sell mine for $105 which would include postage. I have never used it. I bought it with the Ligtning forum group a few months ago, and never get around to using it, and might never, so if interested email me.

I got mine for 139.00 from summit. Yes they pulg into the lighter socket. You have to fiddle around with them to make sure you get a good reading. I tested mine at the track and it was less than a 1/10 off. The mph is a little high because it reads the 1/4 finish speed and not the average over the last 60 feet or so. I think the only model is the Pro
