...of spark blow-out and floating valves? First off, I'm not having any issues with my L. I'm just curious what the symptoms are that lead people to the conclusion that they're getting spark blow-out or they're floating the valves. I know what both of them are, but I've never heard anyone explain what it sounds/feels like. Anyone???

A loose spark plug sounds like a noisy fuel injector, tick tick tick....
Sometimes you can put a finger on the coil pack to figure out which one is loose.

 

Idles like crap... I had my plugs gapped way too little causing spark blowout...
