Post Calling DJY on Front Plate Relocate

DJY
I remember seeing a pic of your ride w/the front license plate mounted on the lower grill. Could you tell me how you did this? I put the bracket on the lower grill & it seems the bracket is wider than the grill area & it hits the edge of the bumpers. I could have sworn your was mounted w/the factory bracket. Can't find the pic now.

Thanks

Norcal, I thought about doing the same thing but I did not like the blockage factor in regards to air cooling.

NorcalSVT,What I did I used 4 plastic Tie straps and ran it through the 4 holes in the license plate through the grill! It is easy and I can remove my plate by just snaping the Plastic tie straps off. Hope this is some help! I don't think the license plate blocked that much air.

Thanks for the response, but plates from Hawaii must be smaller. The width of mine hits the top & bottom of the bumper. Don't want to scratch it all up by the plate moving while riding on the paint.
BTW, did you put something underneath the lower part of the plate (foam)? I like how it sticks out at the bottom & is not flush w/the grill.

Thanks & Later

NorcalSVT, I'm not using the Factory License plate holder just the License Plate and a Plastic Frame on top of the license plate and 4 Plastic Tie Straps. I donot have any foam or protection behind the license plate. Did you check the post I reposted for you "Black L w/ Chrome Rims Paging David Yee"??? Check out the picture it isn't that hard simple! Hope this is some help.
