That's right, I couldn't stand it no more. Finally broke down and bought an 04,Charcoal Gray Lightning, 16000K miles. If you have any advice for a new owner, I surely need it. Jim

Just out curiosity, do you mind telling me where you found yours? I'll be in the market for an 03/04 Dark Shadow Grey lightning ~ spring/summer of '08 and I'm just trying to figure out where I might have the best luck.

Steve, An old friend of mine owns Morrison Motor Company (www.morrisonmotorco.com) here in Concord, North Carolina. He specializes in Corvettes and speciality vehicles. I put his Brother Gary one the case around a month ago. With the contacts he has, we were very lucky to find this one. I did make it easy on him, the only thing I ask for was one with less than 20K miles. He does have a silver (04 I think) with a little over 50K miles on it. Not sure of the price. My advice is to read as much as you can before you do a damn thing to your truck. These trucks are easy to mod -- and just as easy to blow. The search feature should be your new best friend.

One other thing -- don't be scared of Rob_00Lightning. Several people know him, and they assure us that he's harmless.

 

Congrats...now you are the envy of all truck owners that do not own an L. Enjoy!

 

Just picked it up today, damn it's fast! Just as fun to drive as my Vette. I owned a '97 4.6 F150 for ten yrs., now if I have to haul something, I can haul it fast.

Thanks for all the congrats, and the advise. I am sure I be asking alot of questions as I learn about a supercharger, and the other fun stuff. I've never owned an engine with these type of goodies.
