They were shown in Blue & Yellow on "Trucks" tv show on TNN today. They looked like fun to me.

Post Automobile Mag: Thunder and Lightning

In the new issue of Automobile there is a small article on the new all-wheel drive Lightning. It reads:

"The radio-controlled Tamiya Ford SVT F-150 Lightning is all-wheel drive, whereas everyone knows the real Lightning is a rear-tire smoker. The Tamiya also sports last year's body, while SVT just released a slightly face-lifted Lightning for 2001. Otherwise, the Tamiya is perfect. Half of the fun is solving the mechanical jigsaw puzzle: Every precise piece, from the differentials to the coil-over dampers, must be assembled, then installed. The finished product is so, well, lightning fast, it's impossible to run it indoors without flattening the family pet. Given enough space, the Tamiya Lightning will perform acts of speed and handling that will impress even owners of the real vehicle. Look for Tamiya's Lightning at your local hobby shop, or get teh $295 kit directly from Ford. Call 800-444-4503."

And in the picture that sits next to the article, the Lightning is yellow. Hmmm...
