Thumbs up Chrome wheels and F1's are on a UPS truck!

I am so stoked right now. Just finalized the deal with Cruiser. I purchased a set of chromed wheels mounted on the F1's from him. The UPS driver just picked them up from him and they are headin my way! Just had to share my excitement since nobody at work understands this Lightning mania thing.

Tomorrow I'll install the lower billet grille and probably do another Zaino coat.

Thank God it's Friday!!!!

Hey. zaino products are only available from the factory, or their main place of buisness. Their number is (732) 833-8800.

Zano stuff really work? I did a little research on it a couple of months back and that stuff is expensive and there are a lot of steps involved getting to the finished product. I'm a little unsure about buying any because I've seen plenty of waxes and polishes out there that promise everything under the sun but really work no better than the $5.99 stuff that you can find at the grocery store.

Zanio does work good. I had not used it until about a year ago. Spent about $100 to get full package. To do it right the first steps do take some time, but are necessary to get the best finish.
Zaino is very easy to maintain after the first application. My truck looks wonderful and I haven't applied a coat for several months.

I can’t speak for Zanio’s products, but I’ll tell you the best $100 I’ve ever spent. There’s a guy here in Dallas (and I’m sure in every city) that will drive out to your business and apply a coat of acrylic finish to you truck and it will blow you away. They have to apply it with a buffer and it does remove a very small amount of paint, but this does help to remove the orange peel effect. After this I only run my truck through cheep-o $10 car washes, and everyone at work remarks about the finish, and I quote ‘you must have sold your soul to the devil, your truck always, always looks perfect’. I have never applied 1 coat of wax to it yet. This is still on going after 1 whole Texas summer; the guy who applied it says that I should add another coat on top of the existing one after 1 year. BTW I would of never done this if I read about it on a forum, but he has done half of the cars in the parking lot ~50 – 75. Don’t take my word for it, most of these guys run around with a pictorial portfolio and references.

Thumbs up

Hey Pete - Just ordered a 2002 SVT Focus - if you read the specs I faxed to you it sure seems that this little puppy will put some Z28 or Corvette to shame! I still can't get over the 160mph speedo - had to reread several times! Loaded for about 21K! I've been waiting for another baby hotrod to come along - still have fond memories of racing my '85 GLH at waterford Hills.
Enjoy the wheels and the looks they'll get!

Question

Does Zaino's provide any protection against the sun/snow/rain?

Cruiser,
Man I can't believe you went for it! A second Lightning wasn't in the card huh? I think that will probably be one fun little car. Keep me posted on what you think of it once you get it. Can't wait to get the wheels! I'll take pics as soon as I mount them (which of course will be as soon as I get home from work the day they arrive). Only other exterior mod will be the Street Scene mirrors, maybe hood with scoops. Thanks once again for the deal!

To all asking about Zaino:
It is exactly like others have written, the first initial treatment takes alot of time and effort. Once that is out of the way, a new coat of Zaino wax is very simple. I have used numerous wax products throughout the years, and by far Zaino is the easiest to apply and then remove. The smoothness of the paint is absolutely incredible after you do the full treatment (claybar is what makes is silky smooth). Does is protect from the sun/snow/or rain?--I have no data to say it does or does not. I can tell you this; shortly after doing the entire treatment on my Vette for the first time, I drove it in the rain, when I went to wash it, as soon as I sprayed the water on the car, the dirt came off without having to use a sponge or wash mitt (but of course I still used it). Yes Zaino is on the expensive side, but for the $100 initial investment you get alot of their products that can be used for many many waxings.
