Adding tow package

So I have a black 99 which unfortunately was the only year the tow package was optional and I need to tow. So far I have a class 3 hitch but what about the wiring for the lights and/or trailer brake?? Where would I find a wiring harness for my truck in order to have it completely tow ready? Thanks.

I would call the Ford parts number at your local Ford dealer and ask them. My truck came without a receiver and I needed one to tow, so they gave me a discount and sold me the one that goes to my truck. I got to be friends with one of their part guys and it has saved me more than a few bucks.

Yeah but I don't need a receiver I just need the 12v wiring and outlets that mount on the bumper.

I know what you want, all I'm trying to say is if there's a specific plug-in wiring harness that will work perfectly on your truck, I'm pretty sure Ford would make it. Otherwise just go to any U-Haul type dealer and they will get you something that will work.
