Anyone ever measure the ohms across tran temp sensor?

Anyone ever measure the ohms across tran temp sensor?

I get Infinity...

How are you grounding it?

Don't you need to measure it at various temps?

Are you talking about factory or aftermarket?

And again, how are you measuring it?

Factory ?? It has 2 leads, one white, one black, so lead to lead,, Thanks...

I didn't think the Lightning had a factory trans temp sensor.... Or was that suppose to be a trick question?

There is a trans temp sensor, but it's only read by the ECU.

That's interesting. JJ @ WMS says there is no trans sensor.

There is a ToT (Transmission Oil Temperature) sensor in the solenoid, it sends signal to the PCM and in certain Super Duty models there is a dash Trans Temp guage. For aftermarket guages, you can remove the pipe plug in the test pressure port and plug in the sensor there.
