Post Early Lightning specs, and EECTuner?

Hi All,
I understand that some, if not all early Lightnings came with speed density fuel systems. What years were the Lightnings made from, what engines and fuel systems did they have, and what transmissions were available?
Has anyone had any experience with the EECTuner on these trucks?
Thanks,

Robert

I have a 93(bought new) and a 01 about three weeks out. The Gen I Ls were from 93-95. There were supposedly some CA only Gen Is w/mass air, but I have no confirm. Ford makes an exellent conversion kit( I have it on my 93) The FIRST mod should be the COMPLETE Bassani kit, headers,hi-flo cats, tail pipes HUGE difference!

All Gen.I Lightnings came with speed density systems.A mass air set up would really onl;y benefit certain mods such as cam change(primary reaon to change over) as well as blower applications or other internal mods.Otherwise the speed density suits the early L's fine, even with slight mods ie: exhaust mods,K/N conicals, pullies and alike.

Only the 351W was available. It came with the GT40 heads and upper and lower intake systems. The Cobrs roller rockers were not part of the package.
Starting in late '93 the roller blocks were used, but to my knowledge no roller cams were used.
The tranny was the EOD4. The '95 model year contained some internal improvements over the previous models.
They came with 4.11 LSD, aluminum driveshaft, front spoiler with driving lamps, lower high rate springs and f/r stablizer bars, and a HD 8.8 rear.
Other than the interior's seats, it was an XLT.

There are a ton of smaller details that made up the Lightning other than those noted.. The chassis is totally different(thicker) than the F-150...But the noted ones are the biggies.

The frame is the F-150 snow plow version, the wheels and tires are unique to the L as well. The extra duty cooling package with tranny cooler was included.
