fuel alternatives?
Keep in mind that 1 Octane number is 10 octane points... so a booster that claims that it will boost it 8 points will only raise 87 octane gas to 87.8 NOT 95 octane.
They only way I can see to make 87 usable is to mix 104 unleaded race gas with it and a 5.00 a gallon (in my area) its not feaseable.
Just buy the 93 and be done with it or 91 if its all you have in your area.

When regular 87 was $1.00, premium was $0.20 more at $1.20. Now with regular 87 at $2.60 premium is still only $0.20 more. By the time you spent $5 on a octane booster you would have spent the same amount on money (assuming 25gal) if you would have just filled up with premium. There are only a couple of octane boosters out there that will raise your fuel the 60 octane points to be the equivalent of running premium and I'm not sure if you can get any of them for under $5?
You would actually spend more by filling up with 87 octane and using a bottle of octane booster. Think about it.... premium is what, $0.20 more than regular per gallon. That's about $5 more per fill-up give or take. I know a bottle of 104 Octane Booster costs more than $5. Just run the premium fuel.
