I hate to see ***** like that, gives MR2's a bad image. That is a first generation I have a second generation 91 MR2 turbo.(Big difference) They can be fast, with my stock motor with just bolt ons and a 50 H.P. N.O.S. kit I ran a best of 12.66 at 118 mph. That was with street tires and spinning all of first and second..It was much faster on the street, didn't spin nearly as bad. I was undefeated at the local idustrial park where we use to do a lot of street racing. Don't get me wrong I love my L but that little 4 cyl. turbo would kill my lightning. Please don't bash me for this but it is true...Bill

Is it just me, or does 190lbs of thrust not seem like very much? Check out some of the other turbine powered projects on the web (boats, mainly) and you might agree...

A funny project, but probably not capable of much more than it's highly touted 85 MPH...
