Post L Owners in Colorado

I may be moving to the Denver area in April from Georgia. Any suggestions how to treat my truck in snow country?

Cool

It's going to be 60 degrees today. What do you mean snow-country?

Well, unfortunately I never took my truck out of the garage all winter until the temp broke above 35 or so, sorry.

It is kind of funny, you are moving to Colorado in April and I will most likely be moving away at the same time!

KAI,
If I were you, I'd look to Brighton. It's a small town north of DIA, but not a bad drive. It will also have everything you need, and you won't have to deal with the Denver traffic.

I will be moving to Columbus, OH within a month or so. I am originally from Indiana so I will be used to the area. You better be ready to go from 100% humidity to 20%, it is quite different. As for where to live, I have only been out here for 9 months so I am not the best person to ask. Listen to K_Schmidt he is a veteran of these parts! Take it easy.

I actually just moved back to Fort Collins from Denver. The apartments I lived in were 7 miles from DIA, which is as close as you can get. A little steep in price, but there's a lake stocked with bass and everything you could ever need. Thier located right off 1-70 and Chambers on 40th Ave. Legacy at Gateway park. (303)371-9400. I hope this helps.

My wife just bought a 2001 Mustang GT convertible... Her plan for coping with winter driving was to keep her 1988 Bronco II and drive that on the 5 days a year that we actually get snow.

Keep in mind that Denver is very dry and very mild - the humidity is around 25% all year and snow disappears about 36 hours after it falls. Snow country is up at the ski resorts, not Denver.

My sugguestion: Either get a cheap beater type car/4x4 for bad weather so the L stays clean and free of rock chips, or better yet get some standard issue f-150 wheels with blizzak type snow tires for the winter.

Thanks guys for all the info. I'll check in to the places u mentioned. As for drop in humidity, I can deal with that. I've been out there a few times and loved it, weather was much better than in Ga. At leastin my opinion. By the way, I do have another car for everyday driving!
