I beg to differ, clonetek. The question was not how did the stranger gain entry, it was WHO was the stranger? I believe Link has the most plausible answer.

Clonetek, I think you are the one who is right. I copied that from a Riddle web page, and reading it over and over, I seem to remember hearing it a while back, but with not WHO was the stranger, but HOW the stranger got into the car. And I believe the Convertible answer is correct.

Damn, Marcus, if you don't ask the question right, how do you expect us to get the right answer? The problem is further muddled by formulating it as a double negative- "don't let NOBODY into the car". That means that she could have let SOMEBODY or ANYBODY into the car without violating the husband's instructions. Criminee, don't quit your day job.

Wink

Pretty sad when my day job is working for the Los Angeles Unified School District. Luckily I copied that from someone. So it wasn't I who used the double negative. But If we were to answer the question the way it was written, I'd say that dying by giving birth is a plausable answer, and that the baby was the stranger. But in any event, either way, it has been answered.
