Does any one else think that their 2001 has a plastic grill?
I was checking it out yesterday, and maybe I'm wrong, but it sure doesn't look or feel like billet aluminum, or steel.

Definitely POS plastic. Add that to the list of modifications.

 

I think the Harley F-150 comes with billet grill from factory. the 2001 L has the flat billet look, but i'm pretty sure it's plastic

 

The Harley's is plastic as well, but with chrome strips along the front. Looks good but not like a real billet grill.

 

I'll take anyone's '01 plastic off their hands. If it's all one piece like I thought I saw in a post somewhere, Red please.

 

It looks like plastic, it feels like plastic, it is plastic...

How long til someone takes the same design and does it in billet? There are so many of the billet grills out there that it is looking like a factory option.

This grill in metal would be bitchin'.

I'd commit to a fabricator - if there's one reading this - to buy one and I suspect others would, too.

Why does Ford even say that it's a "billet style" Grille? It looks nothing like billet. By the way, If anybody wants a 99-2000 style grille, or shell to install a billet in, email me, I know someone who has some new take offs. OK, I think we've determined that it's plastic.
Next Q, is, NE1 know where to get a real billet grill for this bad-boy.
Would the billet grill's I've seen on the 99-2000 models work on our 2001's?

 

you can get a Trenz Billet Grill, or you can buy one from the online store on this site. And, yes, the billet grills should work. But someone was saying that the grill is part of the front bumper, and I haven't had a change to look at it that closey. I'd check before you bought anything.

Any of you want to sell yours after you replace the stock ones with billets... Let me know your price.
I want the bumper grille AND the radiator grille.
