How to run 11s?

Hey All:

I'm thinking of getting back into a Lightning, and was wondering what awesome aftermarket goodies were being used to run 11s with these trucks these days.

Any help or advice is appreciated.

Steve

Here's a list of items that should get you there...

6# lower pulley
Ported Blower (optional)
NGK TR-6 spark plugs gapped around 0.032
Traction Bars
Driveshaft Loop
28X10-16 Slicks
Dyno Tune

That should get you really close if not in the high 11's. There's always other things you can do but this keeps it relatively cheap and safe. Of course everything will depend on track variables also. Like heat, humidity, track prep, etc.... You could always add a small shot of nitrous...

That doesn't seem like a lot of mods to run 11s.

I was thinking of getting a Kenne Bell, and I do want to run 11s, but I don't want to do a built long block.

You don't really need a lot. I was running those same mods minus the ported blower and I had a 5# lower, and I would run consistant 12.2's. And that was with poor traction off the line.

how is cooler plugs, pully, ported blower, slicks, and dyno tune to many mods?

slicks are a tire option that "require" traction bars, to keep from breaking parts due to spring wrap, and a drive shaft loop is "mandated safety equip." if you run slicks.
you can go without these 2 things but chances are you will go home on the Hook.

I think you're responding to me with this, and I think you misunderstood me.

I said that doesn't seem like too many mods to go 11s.

Your truck must be a beast, I run only 12.5's with that setup at 108mph with 1.82 60fters....full weight minus front sway bar...
