Fun Ford Weekend Ennis Texas World Finals!!
Fun Ford Weekend Ennis Texas World Finals!!
This past weekend in Ennis Texas we had one hell of a weekend. It was a great cap to a great season. Don Justus is again the World champion for the JDM Engineering Tough Truck Class. This is Don's 3rd Championship season and it couldnt have gone to a better racer! Don won 2 events this year and was consistently going rounds. His truck made over 300, probably near 400 1/4 mile passes this year in the mid to low 10 sec zone, this was just all whipple/ JDM alum motor power, he did not use the juice once! but he will this winter to run some 9's! Congrats again Don!
At this event Pat@ PSI won in JArmstro's 2000 Turbo Lightning. He was #1 qualifier with a 10.4 ET!! The turbo truck was running strong this weekend and very impressive! Pat has put together with out a doubt one of the best running turbo L's around!
Dealer Jim was also there in his whipple powered JDM L running a string of 10.8-10.7's! He went out first round i believe but Jimmy is always a force to be reconed with!
Leonard Watson was there too in his whipple powered JDM ALum L running low 10.7's he had some minor traction issues early on but cleared them up and went a few rounds in TT! Great seeing you and your brother David again Leonard, great job this weekend!
Mike Andersons truck was on the property it didnt run TT but Shaun Lacko our Super tech Mechanic ran it on the juice and went a 10.10 and a 10.05 thats the fastest Shaun has been in a Lightning and he had a blast! Mike's truck has run a 10.01 before, we are trying to get his heavy sled into the 9's in Texas heat!! Still 10.0's in 100 degree weather isnt all too bad!!
4 ten second trucks running in the JDM Tough Truck Class, and 1 low, low, low 10 sec truck on the motorplex property, doesnt get better than that!!

Well done you guys sounds like you had a real blast.
Some good tough trucks running there and some Mustangs
Watched some of the live coverage via "yourway"
A trip around that huge JDM camp was impressive.
Hey Jim I hope that golf cart was not too fast for you
Just need the JDM/Whipple 10 sec pass for me too here in the UK
to cap my season off.

Patrick and the PSI crew David, Daniel, Doug & Blaine did a great job
We really missed everybody!!!!!
P.S.
Sue & I chatted with your Dad and Paul yesterday just as we were leaving PSI.
Thanks guys for getting my Lightning to Ennis.......I would have loved to be there, but a few of these bad guys in Bagdad kind of slowed me down. Life is what life is here in Iraq....You guys keep up the good work and keep kicking that tail....PS : John hang in there.
