Got the truck back...
I'd stay on good terms with that service advisor.

I had the same great treatment from the dealership I finally ended up going to after the runaround given to me by the one where I worked. They agreed to replace the rt frt tire under warranty because the inside was worn so badly that the cords were nearly showing. They also told me it wasn't out of alignment, but the control arm movement made the truck unsafe to drive... Whatever!
My service advisor was truly wonderful during the entire experience. And an experience it was! (exhaust fell off 2 times after they replaced it).
I hope you hear good news come Monday!

You guys may remember the other day when I was asking about inside tire wear. Some of you helpfully linked to the threads which had GOOD info and pictures. Thanks.
I made an appointment to take it in, and took it in Thursday morning. They had it back to me that afternoon. I still have to bring it back Monday because they couldnt do the alignment as their machine is down, but it does not pull. They also replaced the two worn tires under warranty. The difference in tread depth between F1s with 9000 miles on them and ones that are brand new is amazing! Anyway, I don't have details yet on what they did to fix it for good, but they did at least re-coat the bolt area so we can see if it starts scraping again. Overall, so far, I'd say I have been more than pleased with Bankston Ford service, and in particular, my service advisor.
More info to come Monday - when the true grit of what they fixed comes about, and I compare their alignment values with what I told them to set it at!
