Complete rebuild of the 5.4 with all the right stuff and a new upper intake with a NOVI 2000 or YS trim hooked up instead of the eaton roots blower. I'm not even going to give an estimated HP mark on it cause then everybody and there moma will be giving me ***** for it.

I'm just tired of all the rat races, I want some serious power now. and I don't want to decomision the L for a long time while I'm building up the motor. I'm going to get another car of maybe another L in a year, so the 99 can be a race truck with a roll cage.

If you got the money just give Sean Hyland a call. They have built Mod. motor short and long blocks that that are good up to 800+ hp. I think the 5.4 truck engine is like $6000. I'll check up on that.

Would the Lightning engine fit into an Explorer?

Cool

Hey RTKilla!
I think that I know several Lightning owners that are playing with short blocks with cool cylinder heads, trick intakes and some wild forced induction (some very wild forced induction).

But then again I might be wrong.

Ok now I'm so just not liking this thread. you guys have no idea how bad I want to go rob a bank right now so I can go to SHM and buy a built to ***** 5.4 and a YS trim and just fly with it. I can't take it anymore. the suspense is just killing me. I need my bonus this year allot earlier.

Who made that piece? "BABOLT", HAHAHA.

Cool

HI!... How about a naturally asperated 5.4 crate engine that makes 425H.P and is bullitproof to 8000RPM and 800H.P! Oh wait, been there doing that!LOL! Then a KENNE BELL at 10PSI and a 125H.P shot of N.O.S!lol! Should be good for 675H.P at the flywheel. Now put that in my 4100lb F-150 and you got FAST baby!Should be ready for SPRING 2002.

Neal, not to knock your truck, but why are you doing a Kenne bell supercharger. I have heard nothing but bad stuff about those when people try and add small pulleys to get more boost out of them. To each is own, but I'm thinking about the Novi 2000 or the vortech YS trim for mine.

Since you are in the process of all this modification work. who are you getting most of the parts from for the truck? SHM? That seems to be the person to call. LATER JOE
