possible chip problem??
My 00 L has a R9 superchip and two days ago at WOT and 4000 rpm it started to cut our and pop. It had 93 octane gas and this the first time it's done this. I checked the chip and it appeared to be secured tight with duct tape. I removed the chip and ran it several times and it ran up to 100mph without problems. Could it be the chip and has anyone ever seen this before? Thanks in advance
Either you terminals need to be cleaned better or there is a problem with your chip.Ill tell you right now its not a "normal breaking in thing". ive been through it over and over.
My guess is the contacts need to be cleaned bette.

I had the same problem last year. At W.O.T. it actually cut off on me a few times at over 100 m.p.h. The problem for me was a loose chip, and also a loose positive terminal on the battery...hope this helps.
When the truck goes to warp speed it tends to leave anything loose behind, including Ch*vys, Dodges, and chips.

Just put duct tape tightly over it to hold it into the computer.
