running wire
You don't need to run a wire through the firewall for the amp. Mine is connected under the dash but if you do need to run one through, right above the gas pedal is a rubber grommet. A hole can be drill through it and it works perfectly

I tried very hard 3 days worth of looking to try and get around running a wire for the stereo. I could not come up with anything for a 2000. I guess the 99's have a hole right near the steering rack but the 2000 do not have this hole. I drilled a hole near where the computer hooks up in the truck. Just took the battery out and drilled the hole, added a gromet and was done with it.
