Question Gear shop in L.A. area?

I've been contemplating getting 4.10 gears...does anyone recommend a good place to get this done correctly in the L.A. area? Any prices?

Thanks for the help.

Thumbs up

I can recommend the shop that did mine here in Ventura. Not cheap, but the guy really knows his stuff. If interested send me an e-mail.

You are located in Monrovia. I'm in La Habra.

I have not changed gears in my 2000 L yet. I did, however, have the 12 bolt in my son's blown 71' Chevelle completely rebuilt by Powertrain Industries in Brea. They aren't cheap, but when it comes to setting gears, cheap usually means short life and expensive repairs in the future. They have moved to Garden Grove. Their # is 714-893-4585. They did a good job.

Hey guys, Thanks for the recommendations!

I have another question that I failed to ask - is it worth getting a shift kit along with the gear swap? I want to keep the truck as a daily driver, but I'm a little worried that the shifts are going to be much harsher - I don't mind firmer shifts, I just don't want to get whiplash making a run to the grocery store...
