Why i love my truck

I was at the nautical mile last night in freeport, ny (strip of restuarants/bars on the water). I have a broken ankle, luckily i get a spot right in front of the pizza place. I crutch my way in and on the way out there is a few tables in front of the place. There are these 2 boys and a mom sitting there. they were maybe 6 or 7 years old. As i am crutching to my car, one of the boys says " hey mister, your truck is sick!"
So i got in started her up, the kid was standing maybe 2 feet from my exhaust and he was startled and laughed. So i reved the motor a few times for them, gave them the thumbs up and drove off.
I get compliments all them time from all types of people of all ages but when kids do it, i think it is so much cooler!

yeah it is still hoping, summer night the streets are packed and the bars are elbow to elbow. i usually go by boat when i go to the bars so we don't have to deal with parking. don't think the right track is around anymore, but i am not sure, i usually just go to bracco's. i was going to do a smokey for him but i got into a fight in the exact same parking spot the week before. i had my cast on and backed up, my foot was a little heavy and i screached the tires, totally unintentionally. i got out on my crutches and there is an outdoor bar directly across the street and some drunk fugger as soon as i get out says" your a real azzhole" of coarse i reply with my standard " why don't you go F yourself" he starts talking crap, i say "your real tuff threatening a guy on crutches you must feel like a real man." then he says that is the only reason i have not kicked your azz, i reply don't do me any favors and he charged me from across the street so i cracked him with my crutch right across the face and his drunk azz fell down and luckily the cops were right there and ran over and broke it up, probably would have got beat if he got up being on one leg and the guy being much bigger than me....that is 2 fights now i have go into in my lightning and the third of the summer on the mile!

I love it when I catch people checking the L out. Sometimes I wonder if some of the import guys I see actually know what a Lightning is! I've had a few people on the road tell me I had a nice truck.
