Forgive me Mr. Troll. I'll be sure to turn off my truck, go knock on their window and conduct a pre-race inquiry BEFORE we run, just in case.

Oh and another thing, your characteristic display of pseudo-smack troll behavior is quite humorous. Apparently someone taught you how to search as you felt it necessary to reply to a seven-month old post.

Next....

Well i ran into an extrem owner once that called our trucks his trucks big brother. we each complimeted each others truck pretty nice. Now as for R/t owners only ran into one and we were next to each other at a red light, the guy didnt want to race, oh well. But dont forget that there can be some lightning owners who can be a little rude, as i have ran into a couple of them.

Hey guys, not all R/T owners have attitudes, allthe owners I know are nice guys, but thats just me, and me truck is not evn close to in the same category as that s-10 ss, I've spanked those things with a number of mods while I was stock, they pose no threat, i've also raced a L when was stock, and it didnt beat me as bad as I thought, it pulled pretty good though, not for long though

I had a 94 s10 ss (the first year of the ss) and it took all the bolt ons and having the cam reground to a pretty healthy profile to get it in the 14's (14.80) I considered putting in an LT1 but when you do the math it just wouldn't be worth it. That truck weighed over 3600-about the same as a camaro so it should run about the same as one which is about 14-14.2 from my experiences. IMO it would be very difficult to build an extreme that could run with an L.

OK here fellows, I feel that I should stick up for the Bowtie Boyz. I used to be a Chevy man and still like them today (just not as much as Fords). The Lightning is the fastest and meanest production truck that I can think of and should not be put in the same class as an S-10. I think that the SS S-10 was kind of a waste but the V6 Extreme is quite an impressive little truck. 180hp out of a naturally aspirated six cylinder S-10 isn't really that bad. It will never be a contender against the lightning, but where is the Ranger to compete with this chevy mini truck? Not everyone can afford a lightning. The reason that most of these S-10 drivers are so ****y and ignorant is because they are High School and College kids who bought the only sport truck that they could afford.

As far as this 82 S-10 goes, SO WHAT? You know what, he probably can beat a stock lightning but that is the only thing his truck was built to do. I bet it is not his everyday driver. It is all a matter of priorities, if one of you guys took the motor out of your Lightning and doctored it up (new cam, intake, heads, ect....) your 1/4 mile times would be unreal. No matter how fast his truck is, he has no business on this forum trying to flame the L.

This R/T business really bothers me. I have a buddy who is pro mopar and is always talking up the R/T. It is a sweet truck but, BOTTOM LINE=It can't run with a Lightning!

4D, the new Chevy 6 is the new inline in the TrailBlazer, 270hp/275ft./lbs. The 4.0 Ford doesn't even come close to that. Strong rumors about this motor coming to the S-series. Where's Ford?

Yeah...the same kind of "strong rumors" (from as far back as 1998) that Chevy has a "new" produciton SS that is going to smoke Ls. I'll believe the 6 story when I see it.

I want to know why all these trucks (454SS, Extremes, RT's) are faster when they are going the other direction. There is one 454SS in our town that's lowered with flames and big exhaust. When you pull up to him at a light he won't dare even look at you. Than you see him the next day going the other way and he's giving you dirty looks and revving his motor. Give me a break....

You guys should love this.
I spent all weekend doing yard work I was pulling some trees. I (don't get mad, I had covers on her) had the L lodded with tree limbs, not the small kind. On the way to work I came up on a tricked out white Extream. Punk kid in it. We are sitting at a light and he rolls down his window and has the ***** to tell me he has beeting a L before. I just rolled up the window and started to laugh. Then I really got pissed off. I could see that the light was about to turn green so I light up the F-1s. In a cloud of smoke I blew across the intersection leaving that boy sucking smoke. He never pulled up to me again.
