Cool

Well, I'm back, and I had a blast! Lots of video tape. (Sorry, can't post them as of yet) My first run (literally first time on a track) was in the 15's, I got real pissed. Got right back in line. Second run was a 14.39, and the third and last was a 14.33.

Here's the data for the 14.33 run..I can't find the other two. (Friend has them) (I'm 216) (174 was my friends Z28 with flowmaster)

174 -- 216
Reaction: .474 -- .972
I1: 2.376 -- 2.207
I2: .000 -- .000
I3: 9.733 -- 9.232
I4: 12.499 --
E.T.: 14.969 -- 14.336
MPH: 94.423 -- 95.979

I know these numbers can be corrected. And I know I can do better. The track was wet. I spun the tires like crazy. But all in all, it was a great time. Oh, and my truck had 800 miles on her.

There was a White 99 there with exhaust that ran a 14.3x, anyone here?

Don't worry about it. You'll get better with time. I ran out there 2 weeks ago on Friday and ran a 14.3 on a half assed run. I let off at a little past mid track and coasted because I didn't know where the finish was . (my mph was a measley 85mph) on that run thanks to brick like aerodynamics.
60ft 2.3
1/4 14.31
MPH 85
I'll be going back with some slicks and a little more experience about where the finish line is
P.S. that translates to a low 14.1 with the correction factor

Page me up if you go again. 818 778-8001

Red face

I told you that was a slow assed track, Marcus. Subtract half a second for the altitude. After I get my i/c fixed we'll caravan up to Famoso and you can see what your truck is really capable of. Let the mods begin.

Cool

I knew it was a slow *** track, but I just HAD to get some times in. I did make one mistake. Searching through my pockets I found my time slip, that read 14.32 not 14.39, so my times were a 15, 14.32, and 14.33 just had to clear that up. I went there, and got scared, b/c the guy was telling me that if I hit 13's that I couldn't race again without a helmet... He also told me some b/s that they had a couple of 01's up there running slower than the 99's and 00's (probably had mods done). No offense to 99-00 owners...but stock for stock..it's obvious that the new ones should be faster.

Dave, I might be going next Friday just for *****s and giggles, I'll give you a call If I go for sure. George...sounds like an awesome idea. I'm in. Might need to borrow a helmet from someone....

Obviously, stock for stock the 01s will be faster. Thats why we have to stay ahead of you in the mods race. But you really should get yourself a helmet if you are going to do this thing with any regularity, it would be a pity to get black flagged for running 13s. I know you can pay beaucoup bucks for a top of the line, but I paid like $170 for mine, and you can get a decent one for under a hundred.
