This is not about an "L" mostly because mine has yet to arive, but some people must be crazy. I was coming out of town toward home tonight in my 97 Roush Mustang when a guy in a Ford contor pulls up beside me at the light and inchs up on me like he was staging or something. I was just riding and was not planning on racing anyone, but when the light changed the guy punched it, and off he went. It made me laugh so hard I about cried, because it was some kind of dorky kid that thought he was the *****. Anyways I let him go and we got stoped at the next light and i figured I would just put him away. Once again he rolled up and acted like he was staging. When the light turned I just barely got on it and rode even with him threw 1st, but he looked over at me and I hit second and left him looking at the tail lights. If people do this with a mustang, I can't wait to get the "L". Something people wouldn't expect to be fast. I am going to dust so many stupid people. Anyways I just thought yall might get a kick out of that story.

Some youngster decided he was going to race me to a lane merge in his SVT Contour.

Same crap - he staged it, wound it out, and got a pitiful little squeal out of his front tires. I just eased nailed the throttle from a roll and smoked his ***.

He seemed much more surpised than he should have been. I can't wait for the SVT Foci to start showing up.

most performance car "drivers" know what a Lightning is. You will get lots of cars trying to race you in your truck. When they become avail, get a chip-n-filter (I think I am going to petition to make those 2 items 1 word for "L" owners).

I thougt about taking all the "L" stickers off and putting f-150 on, and just tell people I put the kit on, then blow there doors off. Sounds like fun

I got my L in December and still have yet to have anybody challenge me! I may have to go to where the kids cruise to "play". By the way I traded an SVT Contour in on the L LOL and I had many challengers in it? It even beat a few I didn't think it would.

 

I am lucky enough to have Kids try me from time to time because they know I am just a little F150. Had a tricked out Dakota Sport, lowered, pipes, etc. try me after I shifted to 2nd and he left his in first. He made it to my door and it was over!

You're wrong. Contour SVT stock went 0-60 in about 7.5 seconds. It's no match for a Roush mustang.

 

I don't know about the rest of you but people don't seem to notice your L they just think it's an reg. F150. And the ones that know what it is don't try. The only way I could Chevy onwers to look was to put sticker in my back window that "VETTE KILLER" and ever Camero and Trans Am wants to race you, but only once.
