Beware of giving out the VOPC number!
I hate to say it but we've got a snitch in our ranks! About a week ago a long distant phone number showed up in my pager. Seeing that I own a business I called the number. It turns out that it's one of the senior managers for the VOPC help line. He went on to say that someone from the Lightning forum had called the line and contrary to instructions talked to a live individual. After they were confronted on the phone they told them that I'd e-mailed them and given them the number and said it was "OK to call". The Manager did all but threaten me with legal action and assure me that the number was for dealers only. They even visited and scutinized my webb site to ensure I didn't post the info there. If I'd done that I'd probably be facing a law suit now. He directed me to tell all others that they need to call their dealer for that type of info. To make a long story short... Being a member of this forum doesn't guarantee that the individual is a stand-up person... in fact I'd like to close my f%@king fingers around the a$$holes neck! Just beware. I don't want any of our kind, good hearted members to get burned by some idiot that has no feeling of gratitude or allegiance.
Undy> Go through the old posts and you'll find the one. I made a post after the person said "I talked to a person". I said "I NEVER talk to a person".
I have seen people posting the phone number all over the place.
Sigh..................

I'm with you clueless, what the he#$ is VOPC and what is so important about them that they can't talk to people without a lawsuit? What are they going to sue you for, making an unsolited phone call, I don't think so!!! Putting out "top secret" information???
