Holeshot.. it's "tunnel" not "tunnell." hehe

This base are belong to us thing. I've clicked the link, but had no patience to allow it to do it's thing. My brother, on the other hand, watched it for me and couldn't even tell me what it's about.

As far as grammar and spelling goes, I try very hard to follow the rules. Spell checker has taught me so much!

I see kids in chat rooms typing "u" instead of "you" or "ur" instead of "your" and it blows me away. They simply don't care how they're perceived. I'm not the smartest person in the world, but I sure as hell don't want people to think I'm one of the dumbest!

Blah blah blah.. I'm feeling old again.

Ahhhhhhhhh.......... I get it. Kinda like : I threw the cat through the window ?

How about : here & hear
shure & sure
know & now or no
LOL I'll quit.
In my youth I was 2nd. place in a 6th. grade spelling bee. I was beat out by a red headed girl. The losing words : Principal & Principle. Mom gave me the wrong definition for each one.

Talking

People who think there is only one way to spell a word simply have no imagination. English spelling is constantly in a state of flux, which is somewhere near Florida, I think. Go back and read your Chaucer and you'll see what I mean. I have no problem with substitutions that make some sense, such as lite for light and nite for night. Some current patois such as kewl for cool, and dood for dude is quite amusing. But it can get confusing when people start substituting are for our, and wait for weight, etc.

As far as "all your base....." goes, heres a link that may be explanatory:

I think only about 1% of the population even tries to spell correctly. I see it at work all the time, the engineers and managers are horrible spellers. (I'm just a flunky technician--not a superior being, but at least I know how to use spell-check). Magazines and newspapers have mistakes all the time--grammar and spelling. The latest goof I read was in an automotive engr. mag. of some type, the headline read "Now you can break-by-wire". Does that mean if I hit the brakes, something will break, but not mechanically connected???

Boy, I wasn't expecting to elicit such a response. The curse of my post, is that now I have to make sure I spell everything correctly. The only other thing that gets me to shake my head are double negatives. " I aint got nothing on me officer". So you do have something on you???

I knew I'd spell something wrong in my previous post...arggggg

"I know Lisa, But what can I do??"

My spell checker didn't like Pi$$ed off for some reason. Isn't that the correct spelling?
