Post Need some help installing Phantom Gauges

Please bear with me, first-time gauge installer.

I bought three Autometer 2 1/16" Phantom gauges to install in my recently received Lotek Pod. Thanks Noel!

The specific units purchased were Mechanical Boost (#5703), Electric Oil Pressure (#5727), and Electrical H20 Temp (#5737). Purchased from Summit for $146.80 and received NEXT DAY. Nice to be next state over.

The Oil Pressure and Water Temp gauge came with their own sending units. Do I need and/or have to use these or can I just tap into the wires behind the dash? If I must use them, this going to suck. If not, which wires do I need to tap into.

Instructions for the boost gauge install are already on my workbench. Thanks Burnout!

Off to the parts store to find a T connector

You need to install the sending units. They are different ohms than stock and wont work by just tapping a line.I have done this install,Kinda pain in the *** but worth it.I tapped the heater core hose with a tee

Thumbs up

Thanks L'Quick.

In locating the OEM Oil sending unit, there appears to be enough room to install a "T" so both OEM and Autometer gauges are functional.

H20 pressure tap shouldn't be too difficult after pondering/researching this further.

Also considering a toggle for the lights so I can turn them off if desired.

Time for a trip to Lowe's for some fittings.

Thanks again for respondng.
