I bought a cargo companion...metal bar that goes across (twist tightens) and has a cargo net that attaches to it.

Works like a charm to keep my tool box from shooting from one side of the bed to the other as I drive like a maniac.

So where does one obtain a cargo companion? Price? That sounds like what I am looking for. I also have maniacal driving tendencies

I got mine from the place that I bought my bedlid from, they had a few of them. I imagine any good truck accessory store would have them...

Here, found one at carparts.com :

Cargo Bar w/net $40.79

I'm just an unfrozen caveman Lightning owner (so i don't have access to a digital camera), but you might want to look into a Bed Xtender by AMP Research. I kept mine from the Lariat I owned and love it. they even sell brackets for it so you don't have to drill anything. hope this helps. later...

Question Cargo Divider

What do you Guys and Gals use to keep stuff from sliding around the Bed? I have a bedrug installed and a hard tonneau on the way. I was looking for something to keep luggage, slicks etc. from sliding all over the place.

I'm pretty happy with just the Bed Rug. It seems to keep stuff in its place, besides if it does move ya don't have to far to chase it.

I remember that post but I did not trust a net to hold my jack in place I was going to put a rubbermaid type box by the tailgate and I wanted a bar to hold it in place. I have never seen the bar with a net but that seems great to hold small items.

I have a bed extender, but it is a love/hate relationship. I love it because it keeps stuff from sliding to the front of the bed and it really helps when I haul something longer than the bed.
But I hate when I have to haul something small enough to slide under the cover (factory) but to long to let the tailgate close. Then I have to remove the cover, remove the support bars, remove the extender, and reassemble the cover.
If you don't have the factory cover or have a hard cover it shouldn't be a problem.
Even though it is a problem sometimes I would still have it in any truck I own.

The best thing that I have found to help with this problem is to not keep pushing the pedal on the right so damn hard which in turn often causes me to push the pedal on the left real hard too...

There are slots in the bed. cut a board to fit. Use dust tape to make it fit snug and non-scratching. Paint will make them prettier. No-one can see mine under the lid. I also have a bed-liner and rubber mats,, normally used behing a serving counter, with holes and ridges,, bought in Costco @ $30/ea.
They keep stuff off the paint if you don't have a liner, and keep stuff from sliding so much in either case.
