My Tune ROYALLY BLOWS

I hate flaming a tuner but, this gets me...

I went to motion dynamics for a tune on my new whipple.
I was there for about 4.5 hours and he charged me 300 bucks for the tune...

Its ALL wrong...

at a stand still I floor it and it takes a good 2 seconds for the power to engage... at 70 MPH i floor it and it dogs down but still accelerates.. its hard to explain... I do not want to take it back to them, becasue the dude actually fell out of my truck while it was up on the dynojet.

basically I have no power from 1500 RPM to 3800 RPM but man when 4000RPM hits it kicks...

MY mods are now as follows...
Whipple JDM Racer Kit JDM CAI for Whipple
3.4" Upper 9" Lower making only 451 RWHP/506RWTQ?????????????????????
LFP Singleblade TB
60lb Siemens injectors
SCT Big Air 2800
Dual 255's Walbros
EGR Delete
Boost Bypass Delete
Autogauge Electronic Fuel Pressure (Not Installed Yet)
LC1 Wideband (Not Installed Yet)
Full exhaust OBX headers hi-flow magnaflo cats, DI/DO Magnaflow Muffler
SCT Xcal2

Everything else is stock..

I am royally pissed, because, I had to tell this dude that since I had an automatic he needed to use the 3rd gear lockout that SCT provides for his tuning.. He said he knew about it, but had never done it before... so you see spikes in my dyno chart... also, if you look at my dyno chart, you will see that at 1500rpm I only have like 100 RWHP... I want my money back but do not know what to do... they did spend the time, but he obviously does not know how to tunel... my A/F is a little wierd it goes from 10-12.4 or so during a WOT pull I saw it on his gauge while I was in the truck during tuning....

anyways.. what shoudl I do? and who should I get a tune from.... All the local guys have no experience with Lightnings, and I did not just spend 4K on a whippl eupgrade and all that goes with it to see it BLOW UP...

I need a tune... and I need it soon... AAAHHH.. I will post more info as its asked... I am just really frustrated right now and don't know what to do...

I will post my dyno sheet in a minute or 2.. then you can see the STEEP curve of the grapghs.. its weird... Sorry for the long post.. I need advise....

Ok
now to add to it...

here is my dynograph:

Also, I had to remind this guy to install my BA2800 as he was about to do pulls on they dyno before this got done... and by the end of the night he was so frustrated by being late to his second job, he could not find the right files to flash back to my Xcal2...

Now, I will say I have a finicky Xcal2, the OBDII has to be connected for the USB to work on it... but this is no excuse..

AAHH I don't know what to do...

Call a real Lightning tuner,(JDM, PSP, WMS) and get a tune for the XCAL. All will have files to get you real close.
Once tuned you can get it on a dyno and have your tune tweaked for optimum performance at your convenience.

well

if you can't get to a tuner other then the one you have, i recommend doing this.

You need a base tune for your mods. Call one of them and have them send you a base tune.

Then, install your wideband guage.

Connect your Xcal to a laptop and data log some parameters for your tuner and data log some wot passes. Watch your wideband (if you have a wideband commander, you can record the passes on your laptop)

Email the info and they can adjust the tune.

Otherwise, make the drive to a reputable tuner.

I use JDM and am very happy with my results. They tune with SCT. They can send you a file for your handheld and get you close, and safe.

After being alerted to this post by some of our loyal and happy
customers (and some people we haven't yet had the pleasure of
meeting), we were shocked that Chris felt obligated to air his
displeasure on this board before contacting us about the issue. We
strive to please our customers 100% but sometimes we do have issues
beyond our control which hampers complete customer satisfaction. Yes
our tuner does have a second job, everyone has to pay the bills. He
did stay an hour and a half late to make sure he got the tune the best
he could. There are issues yet unresolved with it that need to be
addressed, we believe. This being said we did finally get in contact
with Chris and resolve the issue. We do have many satisfied customers
who have gotten their vehicles tuned by us and are more than pleased
with the results. We urge everyone to make your own decision about a
company before believing some bad press. Thousands of satisfied
customers say nothing, but one dissatisfied customer says everything.
Thank you for the invitation to post on here in response to this
thread.

Respectfully,

Motion Dynamics
