Question Your thoughts on...

...the new rear 2001 brake light that is over the rear sliding window????

They will cost between $122-$155 depending on the dealership. Is it worth the $$$$$????

Jim the LED light is awesome, and when the brake pedal is pressed, it lights up the whole bed of the truck at night. A very cool feature!

For some reason I thought the LEDS were to lite sequentially and was disappointed today when I discovered that they didn't.

Is that the battle elephant under the rear view mirror in the picture? If so you better watch out! That looks like a loss of at least .2 to the ET!

Just got mine.
The price is a little steep:
List $201.00 net: 150.00
Hell, I got my upper painted grille for less. And the fogs are no bargin neither at List: $128.00 each net:$98.00.
Oh. Well, it still is a cheap way to get the look of a 2001 without selling my 99L.

Question

Red Devil, in what respects do the '01 fog lamps differ from the older ones? Are they polycarbonate? What is the wattage? Do they interchange without any rewiring? I want some fogs that don't crack in the rain, but I want plug and play.

If it counts, or makes y'all happy. When it was raining out here all day, I left my fogs on while driving (I like the look with all lights on). NO cracks. They still look awesome. Dirty, but awesome.

I have had my Fog Lights on almost all the time for a year and yet to crack one. My lighted Ford Logos are wired to the fog light switch so I run them almost 100% of the time at night

Cool

Mine cost me 28 large plus some change. They threw in the rest of the truck.

Watch out for those lighted logos. I read about someone getting pulled over for "impersonating an emergency vehicle"!!! What kinda crap is that huh??
