Things That Have Gone Wrong So Far:
Burnt Anti-Freeze Smell
The Anti-Freeze seems to leaking but the fluid level hasn't gone done any
This has Caused a Coil to go out
The passenger side Door-Lock went out
The driver side Door-Lock went out
Muth Signal Mirrors Reflective Backing Cracked All To Hell

Fixed under warranty: Coil, Passenger Side Door-Lock
Will be Fixed under warranty: Driver Side Door-Lock, Muth Signal Mirrors
(Wonder what the Ford House will say when I show up with a Lincoln Truck for warranty work)

Can't FInd The Anti-Freeze Leak (?)
Tried putting in AlumniSeal and hasn't got hot enough to see if it still has the
Burnt Anit-Freeze Smell

 

Can't say what it is worth, but that's a nice looking truck. Definitely different.

the thing to remember is when you build a truck like this you will never get what you put into it.

there has been one in my local autotrader,

1999 extended cap lariat with exactly what you have done to yours with 20" wheels and a few other things and he is asking 24,000 for it and it has been in there almost 6 months.


i know everyone here hates me for doing it but i built my f150 STX into a lightning and i just had a supercharger put in it and a 45 shot of NOX and the most i was offered was $17,000.

i have almost $36,000 into the truck with purchase price. i decided not to even sell it.

my parents are getting me a 2001 black lightning in June for high school graduation and ill just keep the 01 on a trailer and haul it around to the track with the fake one.


your truck is a great looking truck but trying to find someone to give you what it is worth or what you FEEL it is worth is almost impossible.

youll be sorry if you sold it. just pay it off and buy a the roush.

grandpa bought the truck
had a front end wreck, there fault but didnt have insurance
my insurance gone ahead and covered it
payed for the navi front end and wheels and tires
did the rest myself
$40,000 involved in the truck all together

and i have the only one within a good 100-150 miles that have the navi front end

I'm confused. Why in the world would you spend all that money to get a fake lightning. Why not just get a real one? Doesn't make sense to me to spend more than a lightning...but to really just have an STX beneath.

Are you really surprised that you were only offered 17k? I mean, you can get a used real Lightning for not much more than that.
I's sure you didn't expect to pull Lightning prices for it.

Good to see that you are getting a real one now though...although it seems ridiculously extravagent for a high school graduation gift.

i think a new lightning makes a great graduation gift.and i never thought i would be offered anything over $16000 for it.


im not saying im spoiled or bragging im just thankful that i am fortunate enough to have parents wealthy enough to buy me stuff.

i understand completely where everyone is coming from dissin my fake lightning. it would be one thing if it only had 190hp and i went around racing everyone. i have it up to about 355 at the flywheel right now and want get more than that. i still tell people its not real though. i love the looks they give me when i tell em that and then tell them i built it myself.
