Question Door Weather Strip ?

Looking for some input. My wife's Expediton's rubber weather strip keeps comming out of retaining groove. Anyone know of a good adhesive I could use. It needs to bond metal to rubber. Thanks.

Look for stuff called "3M Weatherstrip Adhesive". It's great stuff, sticks to everything and is very strong. It can be found at better auto parts stores and vintage parts stores. Be careful to get it only where you want it, it will eat paint instantly.

My wife has the same problem with her passenger side rear door window molding. Can I ask you this...are you having discoloration or peeling of the lower window moldings on the drivers and or passengers sides?

I worked at a Ford and Dodge dealership, in the body shop. We replaced so many belt mouldings and drip rails on those Expeditions I've lost count. If it's within the 3 year 36,000 mile warranty, there shouldn't be a problem having them replaced by your local dealership.

The complaint should be that they're oxidized or peeling, whichever fits your case.

Good luck!

Thanks guys. My Problem is with the rear passenger door, upper molding attached to the body of Expediton, not the door. It is suppose to fit in a channel, but it just keeps working its way out. No discoloration present, it just won't stay put. We bought the Expedition when they first came out and are way past the 3yr 36,000 mile warranty. I don't think the Ford Premium care extended warranty will cover the problem. It looks like it will be fixed on my dime. Thanks again. I will try the 3M product and see what happens.
