I must say I did the wright thing keeping my truck. Over the last two years i have come close to selling my truck a few times. Each time talking myself out of it. Dont get me wrong i still want that Z06 but i can wait. I have been seeing a lot of post where people are or are thinking about selling their lightnings. Dont do it my friends. Yes they are cars that are faster, turn better, stop better, get better MPG lol, cost less to keep, etc, etc. BUT how many of those cars are as great as these trucks are as a whole. PLUS how many different types of mods can be done to these things. Yes i have had my ups and downs with vendors and mods. Some times both preformed above what i expected and some sucked and it was a waste of my time and money. But again these are things that you are going to have to deal with if you are a gear head. As my truck sits now i look at it and think damn that is one kicka$$ vehicle that i have built. With help from you guys and forums like this i have added more power, better handling, better looks, and learned a lot about DYI. Sorry for the long post about how happy I am with my truck but sometimes people like to hear great things about their passion/hobby. Plus the thought of all the future mods i have in mind just make me smile from ear to ear. How much better is my truck going to stop with the Brembos, how great it is going to shift with the BTS trans, and how fast is it going to be with that built long block/ whipple/ NX combo. I hope you enjoy your LIGHTNING as much as I do / have / will for years to come:beer:

I traded my 01 convertable corvette I bought damaged and fixed it with a clean title ,had 11,000 in to it and after one year I traded for a 2002 true blue S V T lightning with 40,000 on truck and havent regreted it yet.I have sense moded it out and just the other month I ran a 07 z06 at the track and won .My ford pickup daily driver took a 70,000 dollar race car ,I was dame proud

 

I allmost bought a vette but the wife didn't care for it. The Lightning was 2nd choice. Glad a didn't buy the vette. Millions of them around but only 28,124 gen 2 Lightnings ever produces. We have something special.

 

i look at it this way. i will have a very fast tow truck for my Z06.
